Day Hospice Services
A range of specialist staff work within the Day Hospice and these include consultants, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, chaplain and a complementary therapist.
Following an initial assessment, members of the team will work in partnership with the patient to control physical symptoms and help with anxiety and other difficult feelings. A wide range of activities are offered which include creative work, life history recording, discussion groups, poetry, writing, music and the use of digital media.
In Inverness we offer full Day Hospice services on two days a week between 10am to 3pm. On the other days we run our Netley Day Therapy Centre which includes short courses in various therapies and interventions.
Our Outreach Day Hospice services run fortnightly in venues outwith the Inverness area.
We have a team of volunteer drivers who can organise transport if a patient is otherwise unable to get to us.
