Many of our services and fundraising events and activities rely on the contribution of volunteers. Volunteers play a crucial role in the operations of the Hospice. As little as a few hours a week of your spare time can make a big difference to the Hospice.
Volunteers allow the clinical team to concentrate on providing the highest standards of care to our patients and they also have a significant beneficial effect on patients and their surroundings. Volunteers also play a key role in their local communities, raising vital funds and awareness of the work we do.
Highland Hospice has recently received the "Volunteer Friendly Award" which is a quality standard recognising organisations that are good at working with volunteers. As a Highland Hospice volunteer, you can be assured that there are good systems in place to provide training and support in your chosen role.
