Volunteering at Highland Hospice
March 2017 - Please note that the volunteer's office are dealing with a high volume of appilcations just now. We are prioritising applications for our key areas (see list below). If you have recently sent in an application form for any of the areas listed below and haven't heard from us yet, please call 01463 227902.
Since opening our new building in November 2016, we have been inundated with new volunteer applications, but we still need reliable and committed individuals to help support us in some specific areas of our work. The specific areas/times that we have a priority to fill are:
- evening/weekend ward clerk
- evening/weekend Ness House reception
- weekday Netley Day Therapy reception
- coffee shop (weekdays)
- Kitchen (weekdays)
- van drivers/assistant (weekdays)
- patient drivers (weekdays)
- retail (all locations, weekdays and Saturdays)
- warehouse (weekdays)
- Helping Hands Community volunteering (esp. Black Isle area)
If you, or someone you know is suitable for any of our roles and you want to know more, please contact Emily or Lynda in the Volunteer's office on 01463 227902 or email email@example.com or apply online HERE
The Highland Hospice Coffee Shop is run by volunteers, providing members of the public and patient visitors with home baking, snacks and lunches. It is also a valuable source of fundraising. It has recently been refurbished but it can only re-open if we have enough volunteers to help staff it.
As a Coffee Shop volunteer you will work with a partner to provide the best possible service to customers. Volunteers will receive training in use of the till as well as on the new coffee making facilities.
This is an ideal opportunity for 2 friends to volunteer together perhaps, or for younger people to gain experience for their CV (min age 16).
Apply online here or for more information, visit www.highlandhospice.org/volunteer or contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Volunteer’s Office on 01463 227902.
