Leaving a Legacy

If Highland Hospice has a place in your heart......... could you find space in your Will?

Each year Highland Hospice provides free care and support to many hundreds of patients and their families in the Highlands. This means we rely on the generosity of the community. Legacy gifts are extremely important and allow us to secure the long-term future of hospice care in the Highlands. Without them, we simply would not be able to provide all the services we do.

For many people, leaving a gift in your will could be the single biggest donation you ever make.  It is also likely to be the one that makes the biggest difference.

What to do next

Decide how much you wish to leave to Highland Hospice

This may be a set amount, an item of particular value, or a percentage or the remainder of your estate when all the other wishes in your will have been taken care of.

Find a solicitor to help you draw up or amend your Will

We understand that making or amending a will is something that people often put off. However, it is extremely important to have your matters up to date.  Each May, we hold our Make a Will Appeal when Highland Hospice teams up with local solicitors to promote the importance of making a will.  Our participating solicitors kindly agree to waive their usual will-writing service and legal advice in return for you making a donation to Highland Hospice.

Let us know about your gift so we can thank you

This will also allow us to plan our services and secure the long-term future of the Hospice.
