Applications Open for Strictly Inverness 2017
Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre are launching the search for next year’s Strictly Inverness contestants.
We are looking for 32 individuals, 16 male and 16 female, to train by attending dance lessons between January and May. Requirements are that contestants must have little or no dance experience and be committed to both their training schedule and fundraising for the two charities.

The hugely popular fundraiser has raised a net £630,895 for Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre in the seven years it has been running. Last year’s event alone raised a whopping £208,000.
Highland Hospice fundraiser Carrie MacIntyre said, “It is so exciting to be launching our search for next year’s dancers. We always attract a range of people, and it is great to have a real mix of ages and reasons for participating.”
She added, “Once we arrive at our final dancers, all we ask is that they give the competition their all – with a real commitment to training and, importantly, to fundraising. We stress that this is a charity event which exists to raise much needed funds for two local causes close to the hearts of many. So if you fancy a challenge that will enable you to learn a new skill, increase your confidence and help two fantastic Highland charities, this could be your big chance!”
Strictly Inverness 2017 will be held in the newly refurbished Inverness Ice Centre from 17 – 20 May 2017. It kicks off with a launch night on Wednesday 17 May, leading on to two separate competitions on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 May. The top four couples from each of these competitions will then compete in Saturday’s grand final which will determine the winning couple.
The closing date for applications is Monday 31st October.
