Highland Hospice Launches Search for Young Apprentice
Highland Hospice has announced its plan to search for budding young entrepreneurs. Secondary schools all over the Highlands have each been invited to select a team of six pupils to participate in the Young Highland Apprentice challenge, which begins in August 2013.
Each team will be given £250 in set up costs to start their own business/businesses. Under the guidance of a teacher, teams will have free range to develop their own appropriate businesses and can diversify as they wish.
The five teams who manage to raise the most money will be invited to attend the final at Inverness Town House in January 2014.
Highland Hospice’s Events & Community Fundraiser Amanda Burt said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for budding young entrepreneurs in the Highlands to show us their capabilities. We hope that the project will really inspire the teams from each school, and we can’t wait to see the business ideas they come up with.”
She added, “Highland Hospice is a vital service for the whole of the Highland community and it is important that we raise awareness about our services within the younger generation. Young Highland Apprentice is a great fundraising opportunity for each school to really get their teeth into.”
