Highland Hospice Plans for New Unit Get the Go-Ahead

26th August 2013

THE Highland Hospice has been given the green-light to redevelop their In Patient Unit in Inverness at a cost of £6.5 million.

The plans, which were submitted to Highland Council in May, have been approved and involve the demolition of the current In Patient Unit on Bishops Road, with the new unit being erected in its place.

The building work will take approximately 12 months to complete and is due to commence in April 2015.

However, it means the Hospice will be moved to a temporary site during this time which NHS Highland have agreed will be the County Community Hospital in Invergordon.
