Day Therapy Services
The Day Therapy Service aims to provide increased support to patients being cared for at home, and to their carers. In aiming to provide a holistic approach to care to meet the most important needs of patients and carers, a multi disciplinary team of professionals and volunteers provide expert supportive care.
A range of specialist staff work within the Day Hospice and these include consultants, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, a physiotherapist and a chaplain. Members of the team will work in partnership with the patient to control physical symptoms and help with anxiety and other difficult feelings. A wide range of activities are offered which include one-to-one support, group support, falls management, exercise, arts & crafts, religous services, complementary therapies, footcare, beauty services, entertainment, trips and life story work.
Day Therapy services are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday each week between 10.30 am and 3.00pm.
Our Outreach Day Hospice services run fortnightly in venues outwith the Inverness area.
We have a team of volunteer drivers who can organise transport if a patient is otherwise unable to get to us.
