Staff at Alness-based Pat Munro donated an incredible £20,000 to our Project Build Appeal. During the year-long fundraising drive, employees undertook a number of different activities, including a Munro Challenge (which involved walking 179 miles in 24 hours on treadmills), a Christmas Jumper day, golf outing, and numerous bake sales. Employees also took part in a wide variety of Highland Hospice’s own organised events, from the annual ‘Braingame’ quiz night to the half marathon and 5k fun run.
Initially the Highland-based company, who employ over 140 people, set themselves an ambitious target of raising £10,000 to help rebuild Highland Hospice, but thanks to the commitment of the team they managed to smash this goal and raise double the amount.
Commenting on the achievement, Pat Munro’s Construction Director, Mark Bramley, said “The staff deserve great credit for their effort in raising such a significant sum for a local worthy cause – especially in doubling the initial target. It’s important for us as a business to be involved in our community and we are delighted that our staff have embraced this.”
