Coo #2 - Juniper Moon

Ardross Street, Inverness IV3 5SB

Artist: Ingebjorg Smith

Tomatin means the Hill of the Juniper. It's thought the site was used as an illicit still back in day. The drovers used to stop there to fill up their bottles....by the light of the Moon....maybe. Juniper wood was used in illicit distilling as it gave off no smoke.
