Gynaecology and Obstetrics
We are looking to commence a new ECHO network for Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2023.
Full details will follow soon via e-mail.
Why Gynae ECHO?
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at Raigmore Hospital is a busy service receiving large numbers of referrals from primary care colleagues. There are several themes which are central to these which include pelvic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding and suspected gynaecological malignancy.
Aim
We will bring together professionals who experience complexity in working with patients, families, and professionals. The group will form a community of practice focussed on hearing from subject experts and looking a real anonymised cases. We hope this will: Increase our relationship and connections with primary care and community based colleagues. Look at case based learning together to try and answer some of the more complex scenarios which arise. Improve confidence, knowledge and skills in GP’s and other professionals to manage more patients within the primary care or community setting.
Who is it for?
This programme is aimed at GP’s, secondary care practitioners, nurses and social care staff with relevant case loads.
New programme updates will be provided in due course
Curriculum Planning
We will be circulating an e-mail soon to invite interested practitioners to an information and planning meeting on the
22/2/23 at 7.30pm.
This will be an opportunity to find out more about ECHO, comment on the proposed topics and contribute your own suggestions. While we can never accommodate the needs of everyone, we will try our very best to find a frequency and time that suits the majority of people as well as opportunities to capture learning from the presentations provided.
ECHO is an 'all teach, all learn' approach which allows participants to submit real anonymised cases to gain clarity and insight into situations you may find complex. This is what makes ECHO different from webinars and tutorials. When thinking about joining this community of practice, please consider it's relevance to your case load and any suggestions you'd like to make for topics.
