Digital Media Intern - 9 month fixed term contract
Highland Hospice is looking for a current student or recent graduate to undertake a paid Digital Media Internship on a 9 month fixed-term contract. The position offers the post-holder an opportunity to develop their skills in social media and digital marketing through a flexible, paid position. As well as learning on the job, additional training will be provided as required.
Highland Hospice is one of the largest independent charities in the Highlands. We need to raise around £3.2m every year from our fundraising and retailing activities and so undertake a significant amount of general and event-specific promotion through our website, on Facebook and using other social media channels. Our Digital Media Intern will play a key role in developing our communications with the Highland community. You should have a keen interest in digital media and preferably a background in marketing, journalism or events.
The post is part-time. You will be paid for 22.5 hours per week, equivalent to 3 days, however effective social media needs constant support so although based at the Hospice in Inverness, an iPad will be issued and we would like you to be flexible, working at home and at fundraising events keeping our social media up to date in real time. We are happy to support you to balance this role with continued study or additional work if you wish.
