Rewarding Work
Volunteers don’t always need specialist skills and experience to help in the Hospice. By becoming a volunteer you could enjoy:
- On the job and specialist training to help in your chosen role(s)
- Gaining new skills and experience to add to your CV
- Using existing skills and talents
- Being involved and giving something back to your community
- Meeting new people and making friends
- Having fun in a friendly and uplifting environment
Our volunteers come from all walks of life and benefit as much from their work with us as we do from their skills, enthusiasm and commitment.
Volunteering Activities
We offer a variety of volunteer roles from working directly with patients to working behind the scenes. You can meet some of our volunteers and read about the different roles here. Some of our volunteer positions operate on a rota basis when we ask you to make a regular weekly or monthly commitment, whilst others offer greater flexibility. We always need a bank of reliable individuals who can help out as and when they can.
