What are Company Members?
Highland Hospice is a Company Limited by Guarantee and a Registered Charity. Our constitution allows for the role of ‘Company Member’. Unlike a company limited by shares, a Company Limited by Guarantee has no share capital or shareholders. Instead it has Members who can control changes in the constitution and other fundamental decisions relating to the company such as the composition of the Board of Directors, winding up, or changing the company’s name. Members also undertake to contribute a nominal amount (£1) towards any shortfall in the company’s assets to settle its debts in the event of its being wound up. Company membership is open to anyone and there is no limit to how many members there can be. All you need to do is complete the form below. Although you aren’t required to give a reason for applying to be a Company Member, we would love to know so we have provided a box where you can choose to tell us your reason if you want.

In order for you to fulfil your role as a Company Member we need to provide you with information on Highland Hospice services and Highland Hospice fundraising activities. If you apply to become a Company Member you are agreeing that it is in our legitimate interest to store your personal information and contact you as required. We use external companies to help us with larger mailings. We will never sell or share your data with any other third party unless required by law.
