Betty Mackay's Pipers Raise £400 for Highland Hospice

3 July 2013

Betty Mackay, our Forres shop volunteer who knitted an entire pipe band, has raised £400 for the Hospice through sales of her knitted characters.

The knitted pipers went down a storm at the recent European Pipe Band Championships held in Forres.  The figures sold for £12 each, with the last one raising £130 in a raffle.

Thanks so much to Betty for her innovative fundraising idea!
