Hospice Charge Nurse Launches 555 Challenge image

Highland Hospice is inviting people to participate in a simple new challenge in a bid to raise much-needed funds for the charity.

The 555 Challenge invites people to complete a 5K run, walk or cycle, donate £5 to the charity and then nominate five of their friends to do the same.

Charge Nurse Louise Anderson spotted another Hospice doing a similar challenge to raise funds and thought it would work well in the Highlands.

Louise said, “These are tough times for Highland Hospice, as so many organised events have been cancelled. We are so grateful to have such wonderful support from the public, and I’m hoping that this challenge is something that people can easily do.”

“By running, walking or cycling 5K, you can make a real difference – and when you nominate five friends you’ll be helping to turn £5 into £30!”

To participate in the challenge, simply complete your 5K and you can donate £5 to Highland Hospice by texting '555HH' to 70085. Texts cost £5 pkus your standard message rate.

Once you've completed the challenge, celebrate by using our #555HH hashtag on social media. You don’t need to wait to be tagged to get involved - just go out, get active, and help raise vital funds for Highland Hospice.
