Highland Hospice will be ushering in the holiday season with a twist this year by introducing a Christmas pop-up shop in the Eastgate Shopping Centre and Breakfast with Santa at both the In the City and By the River Cafes run by the charity.

From November 9th the Hospice will transform the unit next to their In the City Café in the Eastgate Centre into a Christmas wonderland pop up shop. Shoppers can explore a treasure-trove of holiday-themed items, including Christmas trees, decorations, party outfits, Christmas jumpers, secret Santa gifts and more. This offers a greener, more eco-friendly way to celebrate the season.

Susan Cooper, Commerce Manager, expressed her excitement on the new venture, saying, “We are so excited to announce our Christmas pop-up, we wanted to provide sustainable alternatives, hoping for a much greener Christmas. The donations we receive from our donors are always of such a high standard, it’s like buying new without the hefty price tag!”

Additionally, Highland Hospice is seeking some enthusiastic volunteers to become a part of the Christmas magic serving as ‘elves’ in the pop-up shop. Opening from 10am – 5pm Monday to Saturday the shop is looking for people who are passionate about spreading holiday cheer and making a difference this holiday season. If you would love to volunteer, contact volunteer@highlandhospice.org.uk.

And not to disappoint the children who eagerly await their visit to see Santa, both of the charity’s popular cafes will be offering the chance to have breakfast with the man himself.

‘Breakfast with Santa’ will take place at By the River Café at Highland Hospice on the 16th and 23rd of December and at In the City Café in the Eastgate Centre on the 17th of December. Families can enjoy a magical morning with Santa, creating cherished holiday memories while enjoying a delicious breakfast.
