Lee-Anne Turner and good friend Cara McIntyre, both participants in next year's Great Wall of China Trek, are hosting a Masquarade Ball in the stunning Achnagairn Castle & Estate in memory of Lee-Anne's mum Lynn Gilchrist who was known and loved by many.
Lee-Anne said,
“We’re hosting the Masquerade Ball in honour of Mum to raise money for a cause that was essential to her and our family in her final weeks, it’s a great privilege to be able to honour Mum in this way as well as raise funds at the ball that will help other families. When a family member is sick you feel totally helpless, and it means the world to be able to give something back to those who were there for all of us in our hardest days."
She added, "Next April, Cara and I are part of an amazing team trekking The Great Wall of China to raise money for the Hospice because I will be forever grateful for the support and loving care of the nurses and Hospice team. They made all of us feel safe at the worst time of our lives. Mum will be in my thoughts throughout the trek and it helps to know that I can in some way contribute to the cause that helped us so much.”
The Masquerade Ball takes place on Friday 31st October in Achnagairn Castle & Estate. Guests are invited to attend with family, friends and work colleagues for a stylish evening where part of the fun is working out who is behind each disguise. Black tie and masks are encouraged.
The night begins with handcrafted gin cocktails courtesy of Great Glen Gin, followed by a candlelit three course meal prepared by Good Highland Food, featuring the finest local produce and complemented by premium wines.
Willie Cameron hosts the evening, with live entertainment from The Cavemen, plus a grand auction to end the night.
Every penny raised will support Lee-Anne Turner & Cara McIntyre on their Great Wall of China Trek, in aid of Highland Hospice.
