Highland Hospice’s Aviemore shop is calling on the local community to step forward and make a difference by volunteering. With a bustling shop that raises vital funds for hospice care, the team is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help keep the store running smoothly.

Volunteering at the Aviemore shop is a fantastic way to give back, meet new people, and develop new skills, all while supporting a charity that provides compassionate end-of-life care across the Highlands.

Susan Cooper, Commerce Manager for Highland Hospice, explains:
"Our Aviemore shop is an essential part of our fundraising efforts, but we simply can’t do it without our amazing volunteers. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or a couple of days, your time will make a real impact. Volunteering is rewarding, fun, and a great way to be part of something truly meaningful."

The recently refurbished Aviemore shop offers a wide range of pre-loved fashion, outdoor gear, books, and household items, making it a much-loved shopping destination for both locals and visitors. Volunteers play a key role in sorting donations, assisting customers, creating eye-catching displays, and helping at the till. No prior experience is needed – just a friendly attitude and a willingness to help.

Marta Dolna, Interim Shop Manager, adds:
"We have a fantastic team here, and we’d love to welcome more people into it. Whether you're looking for a new challenge, some retail experience, gain back some lost confidence or just want to give back, we'd love to hear from you!"
