Two members of local band John B’s Daughter, Joanne Ross and Scooty, have released a beautiful cover of Runrig’s ‘Every River’ in aid of Highland Hospice.
The song, which was first released by Runrig in 1989, is known and loved across the country.
Joanne explains, “Myself and Scooty got together to record this song and when we put it online, the feedback was incredible! It had almost 60,000 views and hundreds of likes. We even had people stopping us in the street to say how beautiful it was and asking us to release it. We got our heads together and decided to give the people what they want - and release it in aid of Highland Hospice. The Hospice does the most incredible work for families across the Highlands, and we wanted to give something back in the best way we know how, through music. Whether it’s £1 or £10, every single pound truly helps.”
Wendy Morgan, Communications Manager for Highland Hospice commented, “We are so grateful to Joanne and Scooty for releasing such a beautiful song in aid of the Hospice. They performed it in our Inpatient Unit last week and many of our nurses had tears in their eyes. It truly is beautiful and we’d encourage anyone to donate to the Hospice in return for the full version of the track.”
