‘Catwalk for a Cause’ Raises £128,860 for Highland Hospice.
This year’s Catwalk for a Cause, organised by The Head Gardener’s Alison McRitchie, has raised a staggering £128,860 for Highland Hospice. Due to the incredible amount of interest from people keen to take to participate, the glitzy event was, for the first time, held over two nights in the Drumossie Hotel on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th February.
A host of brave individuals, each sharing their own personal experience of life-shortening illness, took to the catwalk, dressed in items from Highland Hospice Shops’ pre-loved range. There was also a shop selling high-end items of clothing and accessories at the event which was hosted on both nights by Pennie Stuart and Jo de Sylva.
Highland Hospice fundraiser Emma Nicol said, “Alison is such an incredible woman, and we can’t thank her enough for bringing this event to Highland Hospice and raising such an astonishing amount. This year surpassed all expectation, and it is incredible to see Catwalk for a Cause going from strength to strength. Huge thanks also to our main event sponsors The Head Gardener, Mary MacFarlane Financial Planning and Heather’s Heroes for their generosity and support.”
Alison McRitchie added, “Catwalk for a Cause is not just an evening of strength, hope, courage and inspiration – but an event where we come together and create the most beautiful memories for all our friends and families to remain in our hearts and minds for the rest of our days. It is emotional, beautiful, moving and inspiring in equal measure – and we are delighted to be bringing it all back again next year on 5th and 6th February 2027. If you or someone you know would like to model at this year’s event, please get in touch. It is an uplifting and memorable experience, and we love seeing our model's bond with each other through sharing their stories and experiences."
