Bobby the Bee celebrates Highland Hospice 25th Anniversary with brand new collection cans

29 June 2012

Highland Hospice is excited to announce that their brand collection cans are now ready to be distributed throughout the area!

Bobby the Bee and Shelley Waters, from the Clydesdale Bank who sponsor the cans, posed for a photograph outside the Hospice to mark the launch of the new design.

The new cans feature a friendly-looking bee sitting on a hive, and they will replace the current hippo models. The hospice chose the bee design after Judy McIntosh, the Nairn area fundraiser, highlighted the close connection between the bee and the sunflower, the emblem of Hospice care.

The Clydesdale Bank is a big supporter of Highland Hospice thanks to the organisation’s partnership with Help the Hospices, and Shelley herself was one of ten UK-wide Clydesdale Bank employees nominated by colleagues to win a ‘Hospice Star’ award for the incredible work she has done to help Highland Hospice .

If there are any businesses would like to host a collection can for Highland Hospice, please contact Britta Harder on 01463 227 906.
