Highland Hospice Invites Toddlers to Join Bobby’s Bumble

13 June 2013

Nursery and play group children all over the Highlands are being invited by Highland Hospice to take part in a special short sponsored walk this summer.
The Hospice’s very own mascot Bobby the Bee will be joining the participating children on each walk, making it a fun and lively event.  Bobby’s Bumble can be held when and where each organisation wishes to choose.
Already signed up for the walk is the Playpen Nursery in Raigmore.  Nursery Manager Gayle Forrest said, “We are delighted to be holding a Bobby’s Bumble walk on 17th July, and the children are very excited – so are our staff!  Bobby has even been in to see us to wish us well in our preparations.  If you are in the Raigmore area on the 17th, be sure to look out for us.  You won’t be able to miss us!”
Highland Hospice’s Community & Events Fundraiser Carola Highet said, “We thought it would be a great idea to raise younger children’s awareness of the Hospice in a fun way.  Bobby the Bee has proved a great hit with children since he joined our team last year and he is really looking forward to a busy summer filled with Bobby’s Bumbles!”
If your nursery or playgroup would like to hold a Bobby’s Bumble, please contact Carola Highet on 01463 246 473 or email c.highet@highlandhospice.org.uk
