Join the ‘Come Dine with Me’ Fever and Support Highland Hospice

6 June 2013

Highland Hospice is celebrating Channel 4’s ‘Come Dine With Me’ week from Inverness by hosting  its own successful ‘Dine at Mine’ fundraising event based on the popular TV show.

The Hospice is inviting groups of friends to hold dinner parties with one another in their own homes in return for a donation to the charity.

Participants will receive a fundraising pack from Highland Hospice, and guests will be asked to donate the equivalent price they would have paid for the meal if they had dined out.

The popular TV show, in which four contestants battle it out all week in an attempt to win the £1000 prize, features Hospice supporter and personal trainer Jamie Tulloch as one of its contestants next week.

Jamie said, “I’m looking forward to watching ‘Come Dine with Me’ next week as I haven’t seen any of the footage yet.  It was really good fun to do, and I would urge everyone to host their own ‘Dine at Mine’ event in support of Highland Hospice, which is a cause very close to my own heart.  You will have a blast!”

Highland Hospice’s Community & Events Fundraiser Amanda Burt added, “We piloted ‘Dine at Mine’ earlier this year in collaboration with Café 1.  It proved popular, so we decided that now was a great time to encourage even more people to host dinner events.  Hopefully seeing Jamie and his fellow contestants will provide some inspiration!”

She added, “Jamie is a great supporter of Highland Hospice and we are all really looking forward to watching the shows next week.”

To register to take part, all you need to do is visit the Highland Hospice website- www.highlandhospice.org.uk/events. Once you have registered you will be able to download your ‘Dine at Mine’ pack. Alternatively you can contact Amanda Burt from the Highland Hospice fundraising team on a.burt@highlandhospice.org.uk  or 01463 227913.
