Kevin Gears up for Bristol 10K

30 April 2013

Good luck to Kevin Leighton who is running the Bristol 10K this Sunday (5th May) in memory of his dear friend Colin Gordon.

Kevin says, “I'm just an ordinary guy who met an extraordinary man who touched the hearts of everyone he met. Colin taught me two things; that nothing is impossible, and that life is for living.
With his words in mind I started running and it's through this I want to raise money to help the Highland Hospice.”

“A year ago I could just about run for a train but decided I wanted to do better.
Eventually I achieved a 5k distance but with a friend challenging me to take on a 10k I thought what better than to raise some money for Highland Hospice.
Colin could not have praised more highly for the care they gave him and I take great pleasure in being able to raise funds for this great cause.
When I take on the Bristol 10k, Colin will be there with his broad grin and I'll hear that broad Scots accent saying 'Go on Big Man'.

Good luck to Kevin, we really appreciate you raising funds for us!
