Squadron to Raise Funds for Highland Hospice in Afghanistan

24 June 2013

We are really excited that we have been nominated as one of the benefiting charities of an amazing challenge, Exercise Roving Fox, being undertaken by 12(B) Squadron of RAF Lossiemouth.

During their deployment to Afghanistan, from July to November, the Squadron will run, row and cycle an incredible combined total of 36,000 miles for local and national charities.

Personnel in Afghanistan and at home will record their individual mileage, with progress being reported on both the Airspace and Just Money Giving websites.

And the challenge doesn’t end there, as in January 2104, 12 members of the same squadron will attempt to climb 22,000ft to the top of Mera Peak in the Himalayas!

We wish everyone involved good luck on this tough challenge and would like to thank the Squadron very much for choosing the Hospice as one of the benefiting charities.
