Maya’s Long Walk to Granny’s

17 July 2015

May Jordan (16) raised a magnificent £1700 by undertaking a gruelling 90 mile trek across Scotland in memory of her Grandfather. Maya came up with the idea as a way both raise funds and to thank Highland Hospice for the care and kindness her Grandfather, Christopher Ness, received during his stay. She named her challenge The Long Walk to Granny’s as her route commenced from her home in Dunkeld and crossed the country to Auldearn where her Granny, Mary Ness lives. Maya made the journey with her stepfather Peter Guthrie over 5 days, and despite the inevitable sore feet Maya can be proud of a real accomplishment. Well done Maya.
