Highland Hospice's Aird Fundraising Group held their biennial Art Exhibition and Sale in The Phipps Hall, Beauly, over the weekend of 8th to 10th September 2017. There were around 350 paintings for sale, with 96 artists, most of them local, exhibiting. Of those, 129 paintings were sold, with total sales amounting to £14,600. There were also silent auctions running all weekend for paintings kindly donated by Jonathan Shearer and Nicola MacDonell - as well as teas and home baking, raffles and small donated items for sale.  The total cleared for The Hospice was £6,200, with the Highland Hospice Christmas Card and Calendar stall raising an additional £683.

Aird Area Fundraiser Averil Lockhard said, “The committee would like to thank everyone who supported the event in so many different ways.  It was an amazing result for an amazing weekend. The Exhibition and Sale is only staged every 2 years, as it takes so much organising, but if you wish to exhibit next time, start getting ready now and look out for local adverts, or contact The Highland Hospice in summer 2019!”
