A loyal team of Highland Hospice fundraisers have organised an Art Exhibition and Sale to raise funds for the charity.

The event takes place on the weekend of 6-8th September 2019 in the Phipps Hall, Beauly, featuring a wide range of mediums and prices, tea and home baking, raffles, Christmas cards on sale and much more.

Kicking off on Friday 6th September with a special invitation-only preview evening, the weekend will see almost 400 paintings on sale. The event is open to the public on Saturday 7th September from 10am to 5pm and Sunday 8th September from 10am to 4pm.

Averil Lockhart, secretary of the group, said, “We are so excited about this event after all the hard work that has gone into organising it. Our last event in 2017 was a huge success, where we sold 129 Paintings by 67 artists to a value of £14,600. From the sales of paintings alone, £3,898 on commission was cleared for Highland Hospice. With a similar amount of paintings already having been submitted this year, we are hoping that this year’s event will also raise lots of money for Highland Hospice.”

Fiona Stoddart, Community Fundraiser for Highland Hospice added, “We are incredibly grateful to the Aird Fundraising team for organising what promises to be a fabulous event. This group have been such dedicated fundraisers for Highland Hospice over the years and we can’t thank them enough for the difference they have made to our service users and those close to them.”

“I would urge anyone with an interest in art to come along to this fantastic event and help support your local Hospice.”
