Two local charities, Highland Hospice and Cash for Kids, were delighted to be presented with £15,000 each following the success of fundraising event, Blue Light’s Got Talent which was held on Saturday 21st September at the Drumossie Hotel.

The event was organised by the Celebrating Amy team in memory of Amy Tuach who sadly passed in 2022. Representatives of the organising committee visited Highland Hospice to make the presentation and announce that the event will be returning next year.

Gary Tuach, Amy’s husband, said, “The whole team is buzzing after the success of Blue Light’s Got Talent, and we just knew we had to organise another event for next year while momentum is at such a high.

“Huge thanks to everyone who helped us raise £15,000 each for Highland Hospice and Cash for Kids, both of which are charities which were close to Amy’s heart. Additionally we were delighted to give £1,000 to winning act Aaron and Sarah’s chosen charity RokzKool Academy – along with the other donations we made to various other Highland charities.”

“Next year’s event will be called 'Highlands Got Talent', taking place on Saturday 20th September at the Drumossie Hotel. We are delighted again to be supporting the work of Highland Hospice and Cash for Kids – along with Mikeysline.  Applications will open early next year., and we can’t wait to see who comes forward!”

Highland Hospice fundraiser Emma Nicol said, “Gary Tuach and his team made an amazing job of organising Blue Light’s Got Talent, and we are delighted to have received £15,000 which is being spent on upgraded patient chairs. Thanks so much to everyone involved and we are honoured to be a chosen charity again for the next event. We can’t wait!”

Cash for Kids fundraiser Lauren MacInnes said, “£15000 is a massive donation for Cash for Kids and will allow us to support 300 children across our area this winter. Many of the families we are supporting are struggling to provide basic essentials but thanks to Gary and the team we will make a difference. It’s a real honour to be one of the chosen charities again next year for such a special event in Amy’s memory.”

Further details about next year’s event will follow in March. Keep an eye on the charities’ social media pages for further details.
