The A9 Highlands Scooter Club have organised The Highland Shindig Scooter Rally to take place at Bogbain Farm on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st September, raising funds for the Highland Hospice.

This promises to be a fun filled weekend with live music, a ceilidh, raffles and games as well as a prize for the furthest travelled auto & geared scooter.

Tickets cost £40 per person with under 14s going free. The price of the ticket includes camping on site although there are limited spaces for campervans and vans so these must be pre-booked via the booking site.

Event organiser Sid Masson said – “There hasn’t been a scooter event in the Highlands for many years so we thought why don’t we create one and then we said if we do this we’ve got to do it for someone else. We’d rather do it for a local charity and because of all the amazing work they do in our community we chose the Highland Hospice.”

Scooter enthusiasts are traveling up from as far south as Cambridgeshire and Manchester to take part in this event.

Highland Hospice Community Fundraiser Emma Nicol added – "We are delighted Sid and the team from the A9 Highlands Scooter Club have chosen Highland Hospice as their charity of choice. It's amazing to hear that so many scooter enthusiasts will be traveling the length and breadth of the country to join in with this incredible event, the organisers have been working really hard to ensure this is a fantastic weekend for all. This donation will help us to continue to look after our patients and their families when they need us most right across the highlands and we are so grateful for the support. "
