Eilidh and Beth Ross recently presented Highland Hospice with a cheque for £4280 which was raised through a dance, in memory of their mother Denise.
The family would like to extend their grateful thanks to everyone who bought tickets and attended the dance. This includes everyone who donated prizes to the raffle, and special thanks to Knock Castle for so generously donating the first prize which was a luxury stay in their hotel and spa. Big thanks to each and every person who entered and sold tickets for the raffle which alone raised an extraordinary amount, and to Pete Major who provided the entertainment for the evening.
Eilidh Ross said, “My mum was in the Hospice for some time and had the best care possible. It was the best place she could have been when she wasn’t well. The reason we chose to organise this event was to return the favour and help those who helped my family and I. Hopefully all the money we have raised can make a big difference.
Beth and I would like to thank our Granny Davidson and Auntie Jackie who helped us so much to make this event happen.”
Highland Hospice’s Chief Executive Officer Kenny Steele said, “On behalf of everyone at Highland Hospice, thank you so much to Eilidh and Beth for raising this truly incredible amount in memory of their mother Denise. For two young girls to have organised such a successful event really is admirable, and they should be very proud of themselves.
Our patients and their families rely on the generosity of fundraisers like Eilidh and Beth so that the Hospice can continue to deliver a high standard of palliative care, free of charge.
This donation is greatly appreciated and will make a real difference to the individuals in need of our care.”
