This year’s Heather’s Heroes Cheltenham Festival, held at Café 1 and organised by its owner Norman Macdonald, has raised an incredible £24,016 for Highland Hospice.
The four-day event took place from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 March, with live racing, glorious food and drink and an auction amongst the entertainment.
Highland Hospice corporate fundraiser Karen Duff said, “Huge thanks to Norman and his team, all at Heather’s Heroes, our own Highland Hospice volunteers and everyone who attended and contributed to the success of last week. Cheltenham is such a popular and well-loved event at Café 1, and the funds raised will help us to provide end-of-life care right across the Highlands to those who need it and their loved ones.”
Allan Dallas Jnr, Heather’s Heroes Trustee, said: “It’s amazing to see the continued success of the Cafe 1 Cheltenham Festival event. A huge thank you to Norman and the team for their efforts organising the event and to everyone who attended and donated so generously. The total raised this year for Heather’s Heroes is incredible, and we will work closely with Highland Hospice to maximise the benefit this will have”.
Norman MacDonald, Café 1 Owner, added, “Café 1 was delighted to host this year’s Heather’s Heroes Cheltenham Festival event in support of Highland Hospice. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, bringing such enthusiasm and generosity to the occasion.
It was inspiring to see such a significant amount raised, all of which will go directly toward supporting the invaluable work of Highland Hospice. The success of the event is a true reflection of the community’s commitment to making a meaningful difference.
Thank you to all who contributed to making each day of the event a special one.”
