Highland Hospice has thanked the staff of Highland Council for their generous donation of £6,879 which was raised through their Staff Charity Fund.
In the run up to Christmas, the Council held a raffle which staff bought tickets for, as well as a bake sale, coffee morning and a panto.
Highland Hospice Corporate Fundraiser Lisa Long said, “We are so grateful to Highland Council for running this incredible Christmas Raffle for Highland Hospice. They have raised more this year than ever before, and this money will be used to support our Highland community when they most need us. Thank you so much to everyone at Highland Council who bought tickets, and to Alison Gilbert, Lorna Bailey and their teams who worked so hard to raise these funds.”
Highland Council’s Lorna Bailey added, “We are absolutely thrilled with the amount of money raised for this extremely worthy cause through the generosity of our staff, members and those who have donated prizes for the raffle. We have already commenced planning for next year to ensure our collections for this vital service continue in future years.”
