Aim or goal of position

Our shops help fund Hospice care in the Highlands. Retails volunteers work as part of team to keep the shop open and to generate income from the sale of new and donated items.

Our 14 shops are located in Alness, Aviemore, Beauly, Dornoch, Inverness (Falcon Square and Harbour Road), Forres, Fort William, Grantown, Nairn, Portree, Tain, Thurso and Wick.

Our shop at Inverness Harbour Road also has a warehouse where volunteers help to sort donations ready for distribution and sale.

Main responsibilities and suggested activities

  • To provide excellent customer service
  • To sort and price goods
  • To operate the till and handle cash

Skills / attributes and/or qualification(s) required

  • Be friendly, reliable, and helpful to others
  • Work as part of a team
  • Be flexible and willing to respond to change
  • A good eye for identifying the value of donated items

Estimated hours

3 or 4 hours per shift depending on shop. Monday to Saturday morning and afternoon shifts.

Our shops are located in Alness, Aviemore, Beauly, Dornoch, Inverness, Forres, Fort William, Grantown, Nairn, Portree, Tain, Thurso, and Wick.
